1. Full Tank Removal
We excavate and safely remove underground storage tanks from residential and commercial properties. Once removed, tanks are transported to a licensed facility, and surrounding soil is sampled and tested to confirm no contamination remains.
2. Closure-in-Place
(Tank Abandonment)
When full removal is not practical due to utilities, structures, or access limitations, our certified technicians provide closure-in-place services. Tanks are pumped, cleaned, and filled with an inert material such as sand or foam to prevent collapse. Soil testing is performed around the tank to ensure compliance and safety.
3. Soil Sampling & Testing
Whether as part of a tank removal or closure-in-place, AEI collects soil samples and submits them to certified laboratories for analysis. Documentation is provided for property transfers, insurance requirements, or compliance with Washington State regulations.
